A launch ceremony for exam season support programme has been held in the central city of Da Nang with the participation of 1,500 volunteer students in the city.
The event was held by the Central Committee of Vietnamese Students’ Association, the Ministry of Education and Training and Youth Newspaper, in coordination with Da Nang city Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
The programme will be carried out nationwide, the focus of which are 12 provinces and cities. It will support candidates and their relatives, introducing free and cheap lodging, directing people to exam locations, and supporting cheap or free travel. It is expected to draw the participation of 35,000 volunteer days.
According to Hanoi city Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, nearly 15,000 volunteer students divided into more than 100 groups will take part in the programme. They will be present at bus stations, railway stations and examination locations to contribute to taking care of and supporting candidates during exams.
