Vietnam’s tourism promoted to German friends
The representative agency of the Vietnam National Airlines (Vietnam Airlines) in Germany on April 20 cooperated with Thien Minh Group (TMG) to organize a seminar on tourism promotion and launch to sell products in the German market.
Speaking at the seminar, Ambassador Vu Quang Minh praised the Vietnam Airlines and TMG for holding this important event, marking Vietnam Airlines officially reopening the route connecting Vietnam and Germany.
He emphasized although the pandemic caused many challenges, Vietnam has risen to be Germany's leading trading partner in ASEAN and Germany continues to be Vietnam's number one trading partner in the EU. Economic, trade and investment relations between the two countries have made remarkable progress, especially after the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) officially took effect. The Ambassador said that through contact, German businesses are increasingly expressing interest in Vietnam, with many new opportunities opening up such as in the fields of renewable energy, green technology, digital economy and sustainable development, the environment and other key German industries.
In terms of tourism, Vietnam has also become one of the top favorite destinations of Germans. This is further motivated as the two countries have lifted most of the travel restrictions and pandemic prevention regulations. Vietnam has restored the short-term visa exemption policy for German citizens and has the most favorable policy for German businesses to enter the market and connect with potential Vietnamese partners. According to the Ambassador, this is a favorable time for Vietnam Airlines to officially restart the Frankfurt/Vietnam route - one of the airline's most successful international routes.
Ambassador Vu Quang Minh expressed his belief in the coming time, with an important flight route connecting Frankfurt with Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Airlines will soon return to the same operating frequency as before the pandemic, helping to connect the two peoples and bring the two countries closer together. The Ambassador affirmed that the Vietnamese Government is committed to continuing to open and create the most favorable conditions for German and international tourists and businesses to Vietnam.
At the event, a representative of Vietnam Airlines presented an introduction to Vietnam's destinations, route network products, services and sales policies of the two units, while the representative of TMG introduced the destination and package tour program.
This is an activity in the series of events to resume international routes of Vietnam Airlines as well as promote Vietnamese products and destinations that Vietnam Airlines has and will continue to deploy around the world.
