Total trade revenue through the Mong Cai International Border Gate in Uong Bi city topped US$624 million as of the end of February, a year-on-year surge of 58.23 per cent, according to the border gate management board.
On September 26, import and export activities through Hai Ha district’s Bac Phong Sinh border gate (Vietnam) and Dongxing city’s Li He border gate (China) returned to normal after 7 months of temporary suspension.
At 8am on June 17, import and export activities through Mong Cai city’s Ka Long border gate (Vietnam) and Dongxing city’s in Mong Cai city (China) returned to normal after three years of temporary suspension.
Customs management activities have been drastically reformed at the border gate of Hoanh mo in Binh Lieu district, helping settle procedures more quickly while reducing travel time and costs.
The border gates and open roads in Mong Cai city have reopened since Feb.3 after the Lunar New Year holiday. Up to now, more than 1,000 vehicles carrying over 7,300 tons of import and export goods have gone through the Km3+4 Hai Yen Temporary Floating Bridge and Bac Luan Bridge 2 Border Gate.
According to the Management Board of Mong Cai International Border Gate , from January 1 to July 18, 2021, over 796 thousand vehicles carrying more than 1 million tons of import-export goods through the border gate of Bac Luan Bridge No. 2 and the open trail of Km3 + 4 Hai Yen temporary buoy bridge.
