Speeding up the construction progress of Dam Nha Mac interchange
The project to build Dam Nha Mac interchange, one of the two largest interchanges in Quang Ninh, has reached 80% of the total workload. It is expected to have been accomplished by the end of this year.
Once completed, the project will effectively connect the province’s western region with the highway of Ha Long - Hai Phong - Hanoi as well as boost the development of Quang Yen coastal economic zone.
The Quang Yen coastal economic zone is located in the southwest of Quang Ninh province, covering an area of 13,303 hectares, including the complex area of urban, industry, high technology, seaport and the area of seaport, industry and urban Dam Nha Mac.
The area of seaport, industry and urban Dam Nha Mac is situated in Quang Yen Town, with an area of 6,899.3 hectares in seven wards and communes namely Nam Hoa, Yen Hai, Phong Coc, Phong Hai, Tien Phong, Lien, and Lien Hoa.
The Quang Yen coastal economic zone is the close combination between the investment attraction, economic development with national defense and security assurance, preservation and promotion of the values of marine ecosystems as well as historical and cultural relics in the area.
The Quang Yen coastal economic zone aims at lifting into a multi-sector coastal economic zone, forming an industrial center, port logistics services and smart urban area of Quang Ninh province and the Red River Delta. Thus, the economic zone will create a modern living environment by developing synchronously technical and social infrastructure as well as high-tech fields.
In addition, the Quang Yen coastal economic zone is expected to create jobs and enhance the quality of workforces, which can help to increase their incomes.
