Reference exchange rate slightly increases on October 10

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,172 VND/USD on October 10, up 4 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,381 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,963 VND/USD.

At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates decreased.

At 8:19am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 24,660 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,020 VND/USD, both down 5 VND from October 9.

BIDV kept both rates unchanged, posting the buying rate at 24,670 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,030 VND/USD./.
