Governor of Penang state (Malaysia) visits Ha Long Bay
On October 7, a reception was jointly held by the People’s Committee of Ha Long city and the Department of Foreign Affairs to welcome Governor of Penang (Malaysia), Tun Dato' Seri Utama Ahmad Fuzi bin Haji Abdul Razak, his spouse, and his delegation to Ha Long Bay.
The high-ranking delegation of Penang State led by His Excellency Tun Dato' Seri Utama Ahmad Fuzi bin Haji Abdul Razak, Governor of Penang State consists of 23 officials. They arrived in Hanoi on October 6 for a four-day visit to Vietnam.
His Excellency Tun Dato' Seri Utama Ahmad Fuzi bin Haji Abdul Razak appreciated the cordial reception by Quang Ninh authorities with the best support so that they could have a safe and fascinating tour of the world heritage Ha Long Bay.
He hoped that Penang State and Ha Long city will have a further cooperation in the fields of tourism development and heritage management in the coming time.
Penang State, island of Malaysia, lying in the Strait of Malacca off the northwest coast of peninsular Malaya is the second largest area in Malaysia. The George Town UNESCO World Heritage Site features Malaysia's best restored and re-adaptive traditional architecture as well as a multitude of heritage trades and arts.
