National Assembly elects three Deputy Prime Ministers
The National Assembly elected three Deputy Prime Ministers at its extraordinary meeting in Ha Noi on August 26.
The newly-elected Deputy Prime Minister are Nguyen Hoa Binh, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court; Ho Duc Phuoc, Minister of Finance; Bui Thanh Son, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The current Government is led by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and five Deputy Prime Ministers: Tran Hong Ha, Le Thanh Long, Nguyen Hoa Binh, Ho Duc Phoc and Bui Thanh Son.
On August 21, the Politburo decided to assign Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang new Chairman of the Central Economic Commission.
Also on August 26, the National Assembly confirmed Duc Duy, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee, as Minister of Natural Resources and Environment.
Nguyen Hai Ninh, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee was also confirmed as Minister of Justice.
