Mr. Cao Tuong Huy voted as Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee

On December 7, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee cum Acting Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, Cao Tuong Huy, was voted as Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Mr. Cao Tuong Huy received 100% of People’s Council members voting in favor during the 16th meeting of the Provincial People’s Council.

In his inaugural remarks, Chairman Cao Tuong Huy expressed his deep appreciation of the Party, State and People’s confidence in him. He committed to exert great efforts to fulfill tasks entrusted by the Party, State and people in order to turn Quang Ninh into become a dynamic and comprehensive centre, an international tourism and marine economy hub, and the gateway of the northern key economic region and the whole country.

Born in 1973 in northern province of Nam Dinh, Mr. Cao Tuong Huy is a civil engineer, an engineer of business administration, a master of business administration, and a doctor of economics.

He had experience in different positions such as chief of Office of provincial People's Committee, secretary of Binh Lieu district Party's Committee, head of Propaganda Department of Quang Ninh Provincial Party's Committee.

From June 12, 2018, he was elected as Deputy Chairman of the Quang Ninh People's Committee. Under the Decision No 1509/QĐ-TTg on December 2th 2022 by the government, he was assigned as the acting chairman of People’s Committee of Quang Ninh.
