Dong Trieu town ranked first at 2016 Quang Ninh Sports Festival

The 2016 Quang Ninh Sports Festival concluded on March 13th at the Quang Ninh provincial Sports Competition and Training Center, after four days of competition.

In the spirit of “Honesty, Solidarity, Nobility, and Victory”, the sporting event attracted the participation of over 2,000 athletes from 14 localities in the province, competing in 10 events including athletics, swimming, Aerobics, football, basketball, table-tennis, badminton, shuttle cock, Chinese chess and stick pushing.

In the medal tally, the Dong Trieu town delegation ranked first with 50 gold, 28 silver and 30 bronze medals, following by Cam Pha city and Ha Long city.

The event demonstrated the results of the sports training movement in the province’s educational units, helping to seek the best athletes to play for the Quang Ninh delegation at the regional Sports Festival in Nam Dinh province this April, and the national Sports Festival in Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces this July./.
