600 women to attend ao dai parade at Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2023
The Hanoi Department of Tourism will organise the Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2023 to honour the beauty of the national traditional ao dai, with the highlight of the event being a parade of 600 women wearing ao dai.
The Hanoi Department of Tourism in coordination with the Hanoi Women’s Union held a press conference on October 16 to announce the main activities of the Tourism Ao Dai Festival.
The festival is part of a series of cultural, artistic, and exchange events set to take place at the Hoan Kiem Lake walking space from October 27 to 29.
In addition to art performances, exhibition spaces will be arranged to display photos on ao dai associated with Hanoi heritage, in addition to 60 booths showcasing ao dai collections and introducing information on tourism products and services.
Thousand-year-old symbols of the Capital will be recreated on Dinh Tien Hoang Street, including models of craft villages, West Lake lotus, One Pillar Pagoda, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Quan Chuong Gate, and others.
Notably, an ao dai parade with the participation of 600 women will be held on the morning of October 29.
A seminar entitled “Orientation and development of ao dai in the community and tourism connection” will also be included in the event, along with a number of other side activities.
Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism Dang Huong Giang said the organisation of Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2023 aims to stimulate Hanoi and Vietnam tourism, contributing to fostering the recovery and development of other industries and preserving the nation’s traditional values.
